Introducing Ablorde Ashigbi, GP

Every day this week, we'll introduce you to one of our GPs who's dedicated to changing the face of what entrepreneurship looks like in Chicago. Today, meet Ablorde Ashigbi, the Co-Founder and CEO of 4Degrees.

Why is LongJump’s mission important to you? I believe there are 10x more great founders building businesses in Chicago than currently get funding, in part because that don’t have access to the capital and community to help them scale to reach their potential.

Tell us about your current company and the problem you’re solving. What is your role there? I’m the CEO + Co-Founder of 4Degrees, a relationship management software business, built for relationship-driven industries.

What are you looking for in LongJump portfolio companies? Great founders, with a unique insight into a problem they are passionate about solving. Products, go-to-market strategies, and the like will change - so I’m focused on the founders first and foremost.

How are you most excited to contribute to Chicago-based companies? I’ve been an investor for a few years (and our product sells to investors amongst others), so connections to future investors and a lens into the mind of investors. I’ve also had to learn a fair bit about B2B sales, performance marketing and operations, and can bring that to bear as well!

What is your favorite thing to do in Chicago? Chicago’s a great food city, so eating at a bunch of the hole in the wall spots!
